Did This Woman Encounter A Giant Spider In This National Park?

Did this woman encounter a giant spider in this national park? We take a look at this giant spider encounter that happened in a National Park. This woman allegedly encounter a giant spider while driving home. She said the following "While in the great basin national park I encountered a large spider. I was here with two friends when I saw this creature. It happened in early 2007. Me and my friends have always enjoyed hiking and we had planned this day for a while. During our trip we said that we would stay here for several hours. When we arrived we started heading out straight away. During our trek though we saw a creature none of us could identify. It looked like a giant tarantula. It slowly made it's way onto the path we was on but when we approached to get a better look at it the creature retreated. We all got a good look at it and had similar reactions, we were surprised because none of us had seen a spider this big before.
