Formed in 2008 with the aim of presenting punk rock music without a guitar, the quartet quickly built a fanbase in Hongdae, the place where Korea's indie scene began, thanks to their explosive musicality and trademark, feel-good energy. Soon, the four gained mainstream popularity after taking part in the competition program "Superstar K." The band made a comeback after a break of 4 years (after completing their mandatory military duties) and now they both comfort and provoke the young with their music. "기타 없이 펑크락을 해보자”는 발상으로 뭉치게 된 네 사람은 2008년 인디씬을 사로잡으며 일명 '홍대 아이돌'로 마니아층을 형성했다. 이후 딕펑스는 [슈퍼스타K]를 통해 폭발적인 연주 실력과 특유의 유쾌한 에너지로 대중적 인지도를 넓혀가며 음악적으로도 점차 성장해왔다. 최근 전 멤버가 군복무를 마치며 4년 만에 완전체로 돌아온 딕펑스는 공백기가 무색하게 여전한 라이브 실력을 자랑, 다시 한 번 밴드씬에 기분 좋은 바람을 불러일으킬 준비를 하고 있다. 저절로 몸을 움직이게 만드는 리드미컬한 멜로디와 응원의 메시지가 담긴 딕펑스의 음악은 청춘이라 불리는 모든 이들에게 때로는 위로로, 때로는 일탈로 다가가며 그 에너지를 전파하는 중이다. 딕펑스의 [I'm Live] 공연은 첫 정규 앨범의 타이틀곡 '좋다 좋아'와 'ROCK TO ME', '걍', '선글라스' 등의 수록곡, 딕펑스의 대표곡이라 불리는 'VIVA 청춘'과 올 초 4년 만에 발표한 'Special'까지 라이브 공연의 정수를 느낄 수 있는 곡들로 준비됐다. 현장을 가득 채운 관객들은 딕펑스의 음악에 떼창으로 화답하며 에너지로 가득한 공연을 완성했다는 후문이다.
