Designing 3D Printed Dresses | FASHION AS DESIGN

Textiles are among the most ancient human design pieces. In this short film, New York-based fashion collective threeASFOUR, together with collaborators Travis Fitch and Stratsys, reimagine fabric manipulation and textile design using 3D printing to create dresses that transform based on the ergonomics and movement of the human body. FASHION AS DESIGN is a new course by MoMA that explores a selection of garments from around the world—ranging from Kente cloth to jeans to 3D-printed dresses.
