Demand to expel Sachin Tendulkar, Rekha from Rajya Sabha for non-attendance

CPM MP P Rajeeve has raised the demand to expel sportsman Sachin Tendulkar and Bollywood actor Rekha, nominated members of the Rajya Sabha, over their regular absence from Parliament. However, Deputy Rajya Sabha Chairman P J Kurien has said there was no violation of constitutional provision, as they have not been absent for more than 60 days from the House.
