Bullet Ant To say that there are bugs in the Amazon rainforest is like saying that there are bugs on the planet Earth. But, we felt it was important to start off with the one and only Bullet Ant. 9. Green Anaconda Snakes are a part of any rainforest, and they should be respected as well as feared. For even the tiniest of snakes can potentially kill you. However, if you go to the Amazon, you're going to find that that there's a much bigger snake waiting for you in the form of the Green Anaconda. 8. Poison Dart Frog A creature so deadly that it has it as part of its name, the Poison Dart Frog is known for many things, but mainly its poison. This sometimes very tiny frog has enough toxin in it to kill a bunch of people, not to mention other animals. 7. Electric Eel Let's got the waters of the Amazon for a bit, ok? There are many terrors that lie within these waters, but few will give you a shock like the Electric Eel. To be fair, the Electric Eel isn't a major threat to humans, though some have died tangling with them, but they are no less deadly to those it wants to devour. 6. Black Caiman From watery depths to the shoreline, everyone knows to fear crocodiles and alligators. But, in the Amazon, there is a specific one you should be careful of, and it's called the Black Caiman. This particular breed of alligator has the ability to grow to 20 feet long, making it one of the largest alligators in the world, and the Black Caiman isn't afraid to use that length to its advantage. 5. Jaguar Yep, it's time to talk cats, and when you talk about some of the deadliest cats in the Amazon, the Jaguar is easily the top one. What makes the Jaguar so interesting though is that it has a very wide variety of foods that it'll eat. In fact, scientists claim that Jaguar's will eat 87 different species of animal, which is not only very surprising, but perfect given the location that it lives in. 4. Bull Shark Ah ha! Weren't expecting a shark to be in a rainforest, were you? Well, sadly for humans and other prey alike, the Bull Shark is indeed a part of the ecosystem of the Amazon Rainforest. In, the Bull shark is capable of living in both freshwater and saltwater, so the Amazon River is a perfectly valid place for it to make a home. Which again is bad for humans. Why? 3. Piranha There are certain animals that when you say their name, they're immediately identified as killers. One of the creatures that fits on that list without a doubt is the piranha. Regardless of whether you know these fish from movies, TV shows, or documentaries, you know that the piranha are fish that will eat creatures of all sizes to the bone. 2. Brazilian Wandering Spider We're going to end this list with two creepy crawlies that are sure to make you jump out of your seat for different reasons.
