"Special Feature: Glitch Souls"—This segment contains a series of random game glitches. The "Fallen Knight Glitch*" isn't included here, but is contained within its own massive 20-part series, found at the description's end. Glitches featured in the following order: 1. Invincible NPCs Tested with App ver. 1.03, Regulation ver. 1.04 (since patched) This glitch is possible with any boss fight where an NPC is available, but two battles in particular benefit from this glitch. - Dancer of the Boreal Valley (High Wall of Lothric): Summon Sword Master. Kill Emma, High Priestess of Lothric. Collect the Basin of Vows. This will call forth the Dancer of the Boreal Valley Boss. Let Sword Master fight the boss and die. Once that happens, select "Quit Game" from the menu. Load the game back up. The game will place the player outside the Dancer's boss gate. Go back and re-summon Sword Master. This time, he will be invincible, and won't die! (However, he won't do much damage, and it will take about 10-15 minutes if you just sit back and watch.) The advantage of this glitch is that it allows easy defeat of the Dancer, and premature access to Lothric Castle, where a lot of end of game items can be collected earlier than anticipated. - Old Demon King (Smouldering Lake): Same trick as with the Dancer. This time, summon Knight Slayer Tsorig and Great Swamp Cuculus. Let the NPCs fight the boss and die. Once that happens, select "Quit Game" from the menu. Load the game back up. The game will place the player outside the Old Demon King's boss gate. Go back and re-summon both NPCs. This time, they will be invincible, and won't die! The advantage of this glitch is that it guarantees that Great Swamp Cuculus won't die during the battle. Her survival is required if you wish to attain Cornyx's Set and the Spotted Whip. They both appear back in Undead Settlement (near Cornyx's cage) if she survives. 2. Boss Soul Dupe Tested with App ver. 1.03, Regulation ver. 1.04 (since patched) A bit complicated to pull off, but at one time it was possible to duplicate boss souls (as money, not quantity in inventory) for a quick money-making shortcut. - Equip a shield that lets you quickly parry (ex. Target Shield) - Equip one single boss soul in the first quick item slot. Unequip all other quick item slots. It's important the boss soul has a confimation box when trying to consume it. (Normal souls don't work because they don't have a confirmation box.) - Put an empty estus flask in the first toolbelt slot and press the following buttons: PS4: While holding Down-Button press L2, Square, Options, X XB1: While holding Down-Button press LT, X, Start, A PC: While holding Down-Button press [Strong Attack Left], [Use Item], [Open Menu], [Confirm] - Hold the Down-Button at all times during the entire combo, then parry. When the shield is parallel to your character's shoulder (about 1 frame before it starts to drop down), execute the combo. When done correctly the confirmation box will show and the item select menu disappears. Then the boss soul can be consumed, but it remains in the inventory! 3. Floating Chaos This happened a few times in Archdragon Peak, where an enemy would somehow break out of ground trajectory, and would float in the air. 4. Object Levitation Sometimes when objects are broken, pieces of the broken objects are suspended in air. Here's a fun example of that in the Grand Archives. 5. Psychedelic Pilgrims In the Grand Archives, pilgrims would fly around in the sky above. Here, some of the pilgrims appear as multi-color, instead of their normal black/brown hue. * Reference: - Fallen Knight Glitch, 20-part Series https://youtu.be/UpuCkdITrAo
