This will show you how to play Dark Souls 3 Online with others also known as Dark Souls 3 Cooperative Multiplayer gamemode. The process to play online with friends or randoms is very simple, a text guide is provided below... The first thing you want to do is make sure you are online before proceeding into the game. You can do this at the main menu options. Once in game head inside the Firelink Shrine, this is the main hub of the game. You can access it by defeating the first boss and walking up the stairs to the right. Once inside head down and opposite of the bonfire, in a hallway you will see a lady sitting on a chair. Talk to the lady and purchase the white sign soapstone for 500 souls. This is the item that is going to be used by the person who wants to join a friend or a random. Once you have the sign, pause the game, click equipment and scroll down to your quick items and click on the white sign soapstone. You will see that the sign is faded out a little that is because we are in an area where matchmaking is not allowed. To be able to play with others this can not be faded, we have to go to an area where matchmaking is allowed. Most areas allow matchmaking but the Firelink Shrine does NOT. So if we go and teleport to the High Wall the sign is not faded out anymore which means it’s ready for use. As I said before this sign it’s used to join others, so if you want to join randoms game and help them out, all you have to do is put down your sign and wait for someone to summon you. You will know if this works because there will be text at the bottom of the screen telling you so. If you want to summon someone into your world, all you have to do is be Lord of Cinder. Lord of Cinder is a mode that is activated by using Ember. Once you are embered look around for someone else's sign. Once you find one, click to summon and there you go. The person will join your game and you are now good to go. To get friends into your game you will have to do what i just said but a little different. To assure that you are going to be paired up with your friends, pause the game and head over to settings. Click until you reach the network tab, you will see that there is an option for password matching. You and your friends will have to decide a password, for example my friend and i did hotdog. My friend then placed his sign, i saw it on my world, and then i summoned him. that's basically it. That is how you play with others. You and your friends can go exploring, fighting bosses, and much more. But if anyone happens to die and you want them back in, you will have to do the steps over again. The same goes for when you defeat a boss. When you do so they will immediately teleport to their own world and you will have to do the process over again at a different location.
