This is a very good friend playing one of my custom kits !!!
I have taken V-Drums to another level, I have been selling roland drums for years. Roland's are great V-drums. The biggest complaint I get is the rolands don't look like real drums. So I have been making custom kits that give you the real look and feel of acoustic kits but with all the advantages of V-drums. All my shells are real wood, not pressed board. I use all Pearl mounting hardware, and Pintect dual triggers from their ax-14 snare drum. All my wraps are org. DW finishes (broken glass, blue glass, purple glass, red sparkle and many more). I do still use the best modules on the market, Rolands. Most of my kits are setup with a td-12 brain, 10, 12,16, 13 snare and 20x8 bass drum. My kits will fit in the same area as any roland kit, so still compact but much nicer looking. Also I use some of the best V-cymbals on the market, the Pintect Visulites. They give you real cymbal feel and sizes. Its not like hitting a big piece of rubber and guaranteed for life. I have sold a lot of kits and people love them and are very surprised how nice they really are. You cannot buy a nicer custom V-drum kit for the money.
