West Kirk Culross. This ruined church lies about 1 mile north-west of Culross Abbey but can be approached by a footpath leading up from the west carpark.
The West Kirk has also been known as the Wester Kirk, the Old Parish Church and St Michaels. It was the parish church of Culross until the Reformation. It is a small simple church, oblong in plan, with a crow-stepped mortuary aisle added to the south side at a later date.
The church has been in ruins since before 1633.
The graveyard contains many fascinating stones dating from 1620 onwards.
