Cross Country Trials

Two-time Eindhoven marathon winner Geoffrey Mutai and world 10,00 meters champion linnet maasai today beat a strong field of experienced athletes, to win the men's 12 kilometre and women's 8 kilometre races respectively, during the national cross country trials, held at the Uhuru gardens. However the athletes who won gold in the 2010 world cross country championships in Poland, including 12 kilometre champion Joseph Ebuya, were not selected after flopping during the event.
