CRIME BLOTTER: Corona woman killed, daughter in danger, suspect loose

A Corona woman was shot to death Wednesday, April 10, and a suspect who was considered armed and dangerous was being sought, Corona police said. Katherine Aguirre, 55, was found shot several times about 12:30 p.m. in the 700 block of South Merrill St. in an older residential neighborhood, a news release said. She died at Corona Regional Medical Center. Police were attempting to locate her daughter, Crystal Gene Lopez, 28, because they fear she is in danger. She has not responded to cell phone calls.
