The first phase of this work was developed in a workshop in December 2010 in PhnomPenh
Cambodia with support by Goethe-Institut Southeast Asia.
The Goethe Institut has launched an extensive initiative called tanzconnexions, which provides
choreographers, dancers and dance enthusiasts with a wealth of information on contemporary dance
in the Asia-Pacific region. The project connects dance ensembles fromthe region with partner groups
in Germany and Europe, enhances the creative exchange between European and Asian dance
scenes and supports several international co-productions. www.goethe.de/tanzconnexions
We are very grateful to the directors of Rimbun Dahan in Malaysia, a centre for developing traditional and contemporary art forms, for sponsoring a two week residency in March 2011.
Special thanks to Isabelle Finet and Lawrence Malstaf.
