Cove Creek Falls - Pisgah National Forest, NC

Third and last hike of MLK Day to Cove Creek Falls. Stopped at the parking area across from the gated Cove Creek Group Campground and took the Caney Bottom and Cove Creek Trails to Cove Creek Falls. There's a nice unnamed 15-foot waterfall beside the forest road just before the Caney Bottom Trail head. This is a pretty easy hike except for the final descent to the waterfall. Cove Creek Falls is definitely surprising, it is between 50-55 feet and the base pool is choked by boulders. A nice, quick stop on FR 475 which you can combine with other waterfall hikes in the area.
