Cottage CareNow – Saturday Stomach Ache

Cottage CareNow is a new online service from Cottage Health that connects patients with Cottage providers who can offer online diagnosis and treatment for common medical conditions. Visit cottagehealth.org/carenow to start your visit. Cottage CareNow helps patients with conditions like colds, flu, skin rash and more. Anyone located in California who is over 18 can create an account. You can also add adult dependents and minor children to your account. Visits for minor children must be completed by a parent. Users can access Cottage CareNow 24/7/365 from their smartphone, tablet or computer by visiting cottagehealth.org/carenow. The fee for service is just $29 for an online interview or $39 for a video face-to-face visit, payable by credit, debit or health savings card. It’s easy to use. After entering symptoms and health information, patients choose to have a Cottage Health provider review their results and respond with a treatment plan within one hour or request an immediate face-to-face video visit. No insurance plan is required to access the service. Within an hour, patients receive a treatment plan or there will be no charge for their eVisit. If appropriate, prescriptions are sent automatically to their pharmacy of choice. CareNow is staffed by a Cottage Health nurse practitioner and Cottage Health credentialed providers. If virtual care is not appropriate, the patient will be referred for an in-person evaluation. Cottage CareNow also assists in connecting patients with a primary care physician if they do not currently have one.
