Coronavirus outbreak: China's UN ambassador says they're confident they can "defeat" virus

China's U.N. ambassador, Zhang Jun, said on Thursday that they were continuing to combat the virus, saying it was the most important and urgent task for the government. He said it was a threat to the life and health of people and they were confident China could "defeat" the illness. Zhang also said Beijing was assessing the World Health Organization's declaration of an international public health emergency over the coronavirus, and said it was still in a "critical stage" in fighting the illness.
