Video version (narrated by Fisheries Biologist Dave Fielder) of Side Scan Sonar survey of newly constructed (14 days post construction) Coreyon Reef in Saginaw Bay, Lake Huron.
The side-scan sonar survey begins at the SW end (limestone end) and runs along the SE edge to the other end (glacial). In the middle of the survey the vessel turns and you can see the reef on end and then it travels down the other side.
The side-scan run then travels down the length of the reef and you can see to both sides of the reef.
Turn on the volume to hear the narration. Side Scan survey was performed with a JW Fishers SSS dual Frequency unit set to 600Khz. The software is JW Fishers 'SonarView' program.
