CONVICTED OF ANIMAL ABUSE: Richard Cheshire of Oldbury

WARNING - VIDEO SHOWS GRAPHIC VIOLENCE AGAINST A HELPLESS DOG. Richard Cheshire from Oldbury, West Midlands, was captured on CCTV kicking and stamping on his dog during a drunken rampage. He is seen throwing bull terrier-cross Pablo across the floor, kicking him, stamping on his head and spitting on him. Cheshire is also seen chasing the dog into a lift where the animal cowers and whimpers as his owner continues the beating and even gives a thumbs up to the camera. Cheshire was given a 12-month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work. Although he was banned from keeping animals for life, he can appeal after just two years.
