Congressman Steve King Honors "OXI Day"

Congressman Steve King honors the 79th Anniversary of OXI Day. OXI Day, October 28, commemorates the day in 1940 the Greek people stood up to an ultimatum issued by the Axis Powers and changed the course of World War 2 in favor of the Allied Forces. OXI is the Greek word for "No." As Winston Churchill observed in the aftermath of Greek soldiers' battles against fascist Axis forces, "Hence we will not say that Greeks fight like heroes, but that heroes fight like Greeks."
