The 1986 Sanyo GXT-255 stereo system is now working in like-new condition with the turntable and cassette decks adjusted to the correct speed. I have it set up on its original rack on wheels, which was an amazingly exact fit between my desk and shelves. (I used my Sony MiniDV tape camcorder because my usual Canon FS200 would not be able to capture a good image in this dark corner of the basement.)
I have its aux input connected to both a Denon TU-680NAB AM Stereo/FM Stereo tuner and a 1986 Soundesign "Laser Audio" CD player using a 3-way input switch, and it is playing through my $40 eBay "Dynaco 208" speakers (out of view in the video).
I would have preferred more bass than the Sanyo's graphic equalizer can deliver, but overall it has plenty of power and nice sound, and the cassette deck will come in handy for recording from the radio at a moment's notice.
