Comparison Footage: Skydiving with Sony AS30 vs GoPro HERO3

[watch in 1080]A short skydiving comparison/test video between the Sony HDR-AS30V and the GoPro Hero3 Black. Both shot in 1080P@60fps. The Sony was set in "plane" mode thus shutting off GPS and wifi. Steadyshot was also turned off for this test. The GoPro was shot in standard auto white balance with wifi off. IMHO, the Sony performs better into the sun but the GoPro looks better normally. Obviously the GoPro has warmer colors that the cooler colored Sony. Make your own judgement. We tried the steadyshot feature earlier on the AS30 and got nothing but rolling shutter and low bit rate so did not continue testing with that mode.
