Comparing a Karrimor thermal jacket to a PCS smock

Full zip Karrimore Elite jacket (£45) size 'L' compared to UK surplus military PCS smock (£30) size 'L' - 180/100. Both are sold as windproof but not waterproof. Made mostly from polyester they dry quickly without feeling cold against the skin due to a layer of insulation. They are lightweight and pack down small when not needed.
