Compaction process in Powder Metallurgy

Compaction of powder is done in the hydraulic press at different compaction pressures with the help of prepared die and punch. To prepare the green compact mixed powder was filled in the die. The die was placed in the hydraulic press and was compacted for 30 seconds. This method produces cylindrical shaped green compact. During compaction Isopropyl was used in the die for proper lubrication to reduce the friction produced in the die.
