No capo; tuning: B - A - D - G - B - B (= tune bottom and top e-string down 5 half-steps to b). This is 100% the tuning Chris uses live, based on the BTS/rehearsal video for "Orphans" and "Arabesque": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zouss3epKZk I approached this one a little differently compared to what I do in the other videos and improvised a lot, since in the recorded version, the rhythm guitar stays on the same B-minor chord pretty much throughout the entire song. So I took the liberty of including some of Chris's own variations (based on multiple live videos) as well as some of my own. Chords used in the intro: E-minor: 0 0 0 2 2 x F# major: 2 2 3 4 4 x Main chord played throughout: B minor: 7 7 7 9 9 0 (I mute the open B note here and there) B minor variation used by Chris live: 0 0 4 4 2 x as well as: 3 0 4 4 2 x 2nd verse (goes along with the e-piano harmony): B-minor; G-major: 0 0 4 5 5 x A-major: 0 0 6 7 7 x E7 (appears in the final "share the same blood" part, goes along with the brass harmony): 0 0 7 6 7 x variation (E-major): 0 0 9 9 7 x Chords used in the song's finale: B-minor, e-minor, g-major Final chord (F#-minor7): 0 0 9 7 9 x Main riff (played on top 3 strings only): - - - - 0 2 4 02 0 - - 2 0 - - - - - - - - - - 2 0 - - 3 0 - - - - - - - - (played with various pull-off's, hammer-on's and muted strings; I'm afraid I'm too bad at tabbing out things like that; but if you listen to it over and over again, it should become pretty clear.) Played on a Martin D-16 GT. Final fun fact: The official booklet states the tuning for the song is "B - A - D - G - B - E..." which is definitely not what Chris uses live :D Check out my "Church" cover for another booklet oddity.
