The day after the Saint John area received 27cm of snow, I decided it was time to catch the daily westbound freight. A few hours behind, CN 8012 leads the westbound "A406" train, along with an SD75i and another SD70M-2. You can tell the horn was definitely plugged with snow.
I don't do the straight on crossing shots very often. However, with the drifts and the plows piling the snow at the crossing, I wanted to get a shot of the train plowing through. I also didn't set up the "PIP" shot. Instead, I made the zoomed in shot into a full screen one, to show the train plowing the through the drifts and snow at the crossings leading up to my location.
Videoed at mile 78.46 of the CN Sussex Subdivision, 5 miles outside of Saint John, NB.
