CHRIS CARSON SUFFERS A HORRIFIC LEG INJURY AFTER BEING TACKLED BY DEFENDERS - Seahawks v Colts NFL Week 4 10/1/17 Injury looks to potentially be a broken leg; or more/worse. Chris Carson was carted off the field during the fourth quarter of the Seattle Seahawks’ game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night after suffering an apparent leg injury. The rookie 7th-round pick was trying to run out the clock with his team up 39-18 midway through the fourth quarter. He rushed for no gain on his first down attempt. Carson was stood up by Indy with his legs held in place, while other Colts pushed him backwards from the upper body, causing stress on his left leg in particular. Carson was down in pain and Russell Wilson came running over instantly to try pulling Colts off the pile. Medical staffers brought out an air cast for Carson and took him off the field on a cart. Carson had 12 carries for 42 yards and three catches for 24 yards before leaving the game. Chris Carson, a promising rookie running back out of Oklahoma State, had the responsibility of toting the rock to wind out the game. On an otherwise meaningless drive, Carson’s left leg turned underneath a tackler in an ugly fashion. Quarterback Russell Wilson immediately rushed onto the pile, trying to pull Colts away, and Carson was loaded onto a waiting cart. He kept his head down, not appearing to acknowledge the CenturyLink Field crowd. Team officials indicated that Carson would receive an x-ray on Sunday night and an MRI Monday.
