Chinese university unveils lifelike female robot

A female robot named Jia Jia was recently unveiled by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province. Jia Jia looks very much like a real woman. With skin made from silica, the “face” is based on the looks of five students from the university. It can nod, blink its eyes, and move its hands. Even more impressively, it is able to recognize its owner's voice and make conversation.
