China Pakistan cultural festival, Gulmit, Hunza 2015

This video shows part of the two-day Khunjerab Pamir cultural festival which concluded at Gulmit in the Gojal area of upper Hunza, Northern Pakistan in August 2015. The event was organised by the local community in collaboration with the tourist department of the Gilgit-Baltistan Government. Taking place in the Khunjerab area on the Pakistan-China border, the aim was to promote economic and cultural relations between both countries. Gilgit-Baltistan Ministers, officials and people, Chinese artists and foreign tourists participated in the festival. Artists from both countries performed dances and sang songs to the delight of the audiences. The first day of the festival took place at Khunjerab National Park, which is situated at an altitude of about 15,000 feet. Stalls of traditional handicrafts and foods were also put up there. The second day of the event, shown in the video, was held in the Gojal area.
