Chevy 350 Install Harbor Freight 1 Ton Engine Hoist Review

This is a time lapse video of some issues I ran into using the Harbor Freight 1 Ton engine hoist item #61858 and 69512. The main problem is its not long enough for probably a lot of engine changes. I was using it on a friends 1981 Olds Cutlass and ended up removing a front tire to get as close to center as possible. From the front it wasn't even close. It ended up being a PIA. I suppose I could of used a trailer hitch as an extension but that would of changed the weight ratio quit a bit as I was already using the last setting of 1/4 ton. At the end of the day I did get the engine removed and installed. The guy with the car is the one who bought the hoist. Want to help out with Projects or Donate?
