The show is on number one for quite some time now. Diya Aur Baati Hum has been running for the last three years, and is currently the best in the fictional shows. Celebs like Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan also have visited the sets of the show for their movie's promotions.
Bigg Boss 7
Hosted by the superstar Salman Khan, the popularity of Bigg Boss has gone up by leaps and bounds this time, thanks to the controversies and romantic link-ups between the inmates Gauhar Khan-Kushal Tandon and Tanishaa Mukerji-Armaan Kohli.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
The show's fans can't get enough of Daya ben and Jhetha Lal, and that's the reason why Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is still raking in big moolah. The serial is based on the happenings of Gokuldham Co-Operative Housing Society located in Mumbai and the day-to-day life of its members who come from many different backgrounds and cultures.
Comedy Nights With Kapil
Moving on from Comedy Circus, comedian Kapil Sharma started his own show Comedy Nights With Kapil. Inspired from the British show The Kumars at No. 42, the show is said to have garnered viewership ratings greater than KBC. The show's biggest USP are the celebrity guests, who usually appear to promote their latest films and with whom Comedy Nights With Kapil actors interact in-character.

Anil Kapoor's TV debut was ekdum jhakaas. True to expectations, the crime thriller connected with the youth, who were looking for a change on Indian TV. The crisp and engaging 24 was like a watershed moment for Indian TV. Starring Anil Kapoor, Mandira Bedi, Tisca Chopra and others, the show has found many takers.
Mahabharat
The new Mahabharat opened big and enthralled the audiences with its splendor and visuals effects. The show was in the making for quite some time and several known artists and actors are involved in its execution. The veteran Rajit Kapur was roped in as the acting coach for the ensemble star cast that features the likes of Puneet Issar, Sayantani Ghosh and Saurabh Jain.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has nothing new to offer especially after Naitik and Akshara's marriage, but nothing has flagged the popularity of this parivarik show which is filled with full of dramatic twists. The show is also dubbed in Tamil as Uravugal Thodarkathai.
Dance India Dance
Dance India Dance made choreographers Geeta Kapoor, Terence Lewis and Remo D'Souza household names. The show is currently India's largest dance-based reality show, and as for now, DID season 4 is on air and has got three new judges Mudassar Khan, Feroz Khan and Shruti Merchant. Earlier this year, Dance India Dance Li'l Masters made waves on TV.
Veera
The show that started in the year 2012 with a young Bhavesh Balchandani playing a young Ranvijay, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera became an instant hit for the two child actors. Even after the leap, the sweet equation between Veera and Ranvijay hasn't changed, making it the much-loved daily soap on TV.
Jodha Akbar
Though it started on a low note and was marred by controversy over distortion of historical facts, Ekta Kapoor's Jodha-Akbar is the current flavour of TV. The youngsters are big fans of this show owing to Jodha and Akbar's love-hate yet palpable chemistry shown in the show.
