The video is showing prepping tires for Nebraska Tests. These tractors are tested at the Nebraska Tractor Test Lab on a concrete track. New Tires provide inconsistant results during the tests. As part of the preparation for these tests, the tires need to be heated to cure them. In addition, the tread bars on the tires are worn down to about 60% of new height. The tractor weighs about 60,000 and has 12 tires mounted. The tires are 18 inches wide with 50 inch rims. They cost about $1500 each. The test cart behind it is weighted to about 98,000 lbs and can stop a 750 HP tractor dead in its tracks. It is used to measure drawbar pull.
