True Crime: Streets of LA review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of True Crime: Streets of LA for Playstation 2. After Grand Theft Auto 3 changed gaming, many new games came out trying to feed off GTA's success. One of those was the True Crime series. Taking place on the other side of the law, you play as a Los Angeles cop as he investigates the death of his father. The game offers a true recreation of LA. The game also has a robust combat system, both shooting and hand to hand combat that brings more depth to the game. It is clear the game was inspired by GTA 3, but there is enough new features that make the series stand on its own.
