Catharina Klein Video V: Roses

Roses were perhaps Catharina Klein's most popular subject matter. She completed more than 300 different paintings of roses during her lifetime. One of her paintings, "Roses," was on display in the German Pavilion inside the Woman's Building at the World's Columbia Exposition in Chicago in 1893. This event is widely recognized as the start of the postcard collecting hobby and the international habit of sending a postcard to friends and family while you are traveling.
