Cassette adapter stuck. Saab 9-5

Cassette adapter got stuck day one. I received a suggestion to go at it with a butter knife, this is the result. Update : Uploaded this video to demonstrate popping noise when wire was pulled. Update 2: I replaced the stock unit with an aftermarket Pioneer set from my previous vehicle. Update 3: The car broke down every oil change. Vehicle was traded in.
