Casper: The Interactive Adventure — Halloween Special 2013!

Welcome to my first ever Halloween Special! Today we're playing a game about ghosts. It seems to fit the mood of the season. :) This is Casper: The Interactive Adventure, a game that was developed by Morning Star Multimedia and published by WizardWorks. It was released in 1997 and is based off of the movie "Casper" that came out in 1995. This is a point-and-click adventure game following in the footsteps of great games such as Maniac Mansion and Space Quest. Aside from the fact that the game is rather short in length, I think it holds up pretty well for it being a game that was released for Windows 95/98. The visuals are compelling for the time and, in my opinion, it's a lost gem in the sea of games from the late 90's. So, I invite you to join me on this adventure through the halls of the spooky Whipstaff Manor. HOW I GOT THIS GAME TO RUN ON MODERN OPERATING SYSTEMS: My solution involved running my copy of Windows 98 SE (with the unofficial final service pack applied) in Virtual PC 2007 at 256 colors and a 640x480 resolution.
