UPDATE: The Poop Cruise Ship Sails Again: First Two Triumph Voyages Are Sold Out http://bit.ly/171ybh1 During a very strong wind storm (70 mph gusts), Carnival Triumph broke free of its moorings in Mobile, AL at 1325 hrs Central 03 April 2013, and drifted across the Mobile River. The other ship seen in video is the US Corps of Engineers trailer dredger ship "Wheeler". You've seen many news stories and so won't post additional details. Suffice it to say, many stations have missed various details as to what happened. Only one tug/push-boat got to the ship before the collision. Even with both anchors dropped and the tug going full throttle, it wasn't enough. The stern damage, as shown on television news, was not from contact with the Wheeler ship but from scraping the dry-dock wing wall that was adjacent to its berth.
