Carmela's Behind the Scenes Photoshoot in the studio for some simple shots for her modelling portfolio for Zebedee management. Carmela is a Child Model with Muscular Dystrophy. Carmela has an extremely rare form of Muscular Dystrophy called LMNA - Congenital muscular dystrophy (L-CMD). There are LESS than 50 known cases in the UK. L-CMD is a progressive muscle-wasting condition which unfortunately will affect her heart and lungs and she will most likely not make adult life - which is heartbreaking and unfathomable. As Carmela’s family, we do all that we can to give Carmela the best life and have a Family Fund with MDUK to help fund research into her condition in the hope that treatments can be found to slow down the progression of her muscular dystrophy or even cure it - meaning we get more time with our little girl. Carmela is a remarkable little person. She’s a fighter and has such will and determination at such a young age along with the most adorable personality.
