True north strong and free, this years theme of the Canadian Forces CF18 Demo, represented in an amazing artwork that covers the entire CF-18 Hornet that serves as the demo aircraft, which thrills airshow spectators with a 22 minute demonstration.
Recorded at the Wings over Gatineau Airshow presented by Vintage Wings of Canada, this is the complete CF-18 demo recorded on September 16th, 2012. Flown by Captain Patrick "Paco" Gobeil, it is an amazing demonstration of the capabilities and skills of the men and women who fly this amazing aircraft. Supported by an incredible ground crew, Sgt Stéphane Rhéaume, Master Corporal François Marinier, Corporal Marc-André Paquet, Corporal Carl Marmen, that allow Canadians and our allies to the south, the opportunity to see Canada's premiere fighter aircraft demonstrate its amazing capabilities and view up close the primary tool that defends Canada and North American airspace. The team also serves as incredible ambassadors for the Canadian Forces, and allows younger Canadians the opportunity to dream of one day flying or serving in another capacity in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Thank you to all who serve and those who have served, defending our great nation, allowing us to live with all of the rights and freedoms we all hold dear.
