Wilderness camping at the end of road 274 in the Northern part of the Sierra National Forest. Just South of Yosemite, N.P., along the North Fork of the San Joaquin River. Chaquito Campground, Placer Campground, and Granite Creek Campground. Wilderness camping with no services. (store at Mammoth Pool) No host campgrounds. Past Bass Lake on road 222, the Sierra National Forrest provides great wilderness Camping at the end of every road. Road 274, Road 87 and 7. High Clearance Vehicle Required. Wilderness permit required for all fires. One lane dirt roads, poor conditions. No RV or Trailers. Pack-in Pack-out wilderness conditions.
