BY MIGHT OF HIS RIGHT (1915) Silent Comedy MR AND MRS SIDNEY DREW - Score by SCOTT JOPLIN

A very rare comedy from 1915 starring the legendary theatrical team Mr and Mrs Sidney Drew. They had quite an age gap - he was 52 and she 25 when this movie was made and it shows but this is a delightful comedy of a husband who is fed up with his brash, bragging brother-in-law (Donald McBride, who steals the film) who comes for an extended visit. This film was preserved by the New Zealand Film Archive and George Eastman House. I have added music by the great Scott Joplin for the soundtrack.
