Buying A Carpet/Rug In Morocco, Fes

At the first day of our travel to #Morocco, we were lured into a #carpet/#rug #shop located within the #Medina of #Fes. What followed was a 10-minute long demonstration of many different carpets that we could buy for a #very #special #price......... It was overwhelming, but in the end, we could resist the pressure or temptation and we did not buy any rug or carpet. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, here some tips: - Stay calm: The people only try to sell something and will not hurt you in any way (at least not in our case). Just say that the carpets/rug are beautiful but you don't need one yet. Maybe in a few months/years - Don't buy: Even if you are interested in buying a rug or carpet say that you will come back later. This will give you some time to think about it and will most probably result in a lower price too! - Just enjoy: Although it might the pressure, try to relax and try to enjoy the show!
