Burden Of Sacrifice

Dean character study, his way from the old brother, then down to hell, then to the man who started the Apocalypse and the one who can save the world. So, I have to say that making video about Dean is way harder than the one about Sam. I mean, you really have to think a lot about everything. It seems like everything is simple, like, there's a few steps that Dean went through in the whole show, but when you start actually vidding it and trying to organize everything in one video, you start to find more and more little things, and then, suddenly, it's total chaos. I spent one week only figuring out where I want to start, where I want to end this vid and what I want to put in between. I built this video around parallels. And there's a lot of parallels. At least in my head...There's a Dean and Sam line, Dean and the deal(s) line, Dean and Alastair, Dean and John, Dean and Mary, Dean and family, Dean and death, Dean and God, Dean and Michael, Dean and angels in general (represented by Castiel, like one of a kind, I think). A lot of it happened accidentally. To tell you the truth - this is how I vid, like, half of all my vids. First I actually put the clip on the timeline, and then, when I watch the video for the 10th time, I'm like, "wow, that was a good one", and I started to understand that there's actually a meaning behind those clips. The same was here. For example, on the line "Justify, set me free" in the first chorus on 1:09-14 and 1:23-25 I kinda didn't even realize that I compared Dean with Christ, not until dusted92 told me that this was a cool idea. Also on the line "Your whispers calling me you speak my name", I didn't notice that I put Michael's painting from the church from 2x13 on the words "my name". I swear it's like I have this part of my brain that works only when I make videos, and with which I actually don't have any connection at all :D Dean is a very complicated character, and this was my, like, second try on him? I mean, making a character study vid. I'm much more satisfied with this one, and I hope you'll like it as much as I liked making it :)
