Burari deaths: How a ritual to free ‘spirits’ proved fatal for the Bhatia family

It is now becoming increasingly evident that 11 members of the Bhatia family were in full knowledge of what they were doing and there was little or no pressure on them to do anything forcefully. Another CCTV footage has emerged where family members can be seen voluntarily carrying plastic stools home hours before their death. As per investigators, Lalit Bhatia - the patriarch of the family - received instructions from his dead father to free the spirits of previous generations from the house. Though the ritual involved elaborate and detailed steps of how to go about it but the Bhatias truly believed they would not only come out unscathed but also wield more powers after this tapasya.
