Bucket List Flights: Bound For The Bahamas | Leg 4: Connecting iPad + Foreflight | X-Plane 11

We’re on the fourth leg of our flight from Augusta (KAGS), in middle Georgia, down to the Bahamas. We’ve been building on our navigation techniques, starting with pilotage and dead reckoning, and then VOR navigation before turning on the Garmin 430 GPS in the last episode to navigate to Jacksonville Executive Airport (KCRG). In this episode, we discuss connecting an iPad with Foreflight to X-Plane 11. Not only does Foreflight give us lots of information, but gaining familiarity with the system while using the simulator is great practice. Over this series of flights, we’ll spend each leg looking at some of the various features of X-Plane and the Airfoillabs Cessna 172 as well as discussing some aviation concepts along the way. Make the most out of your flight simulator experience or use the flight simulator to practice as a student pilot or beyond. Note that while the features of this unit in X-Plane closely mimic those of the real unit, there are some differences. This tutorial should be used for X-Plane purposes only.
