With its small profile I was able to pack my assembled fs5 with its 18-105mm lens, a 35mm 1.4 and a 10-18mm all into a tiny Lowepro Tahoe 150 backpack. Somehow I though it would be a lot bigger.
Also I wanted to see if I could get some steady cinematic slow motion shots, only hand held, so no gimbals or sliders were at my disposal. All I had was a short tripod stand.
Having sold my Sony A7s to upgrade I also wanted to test this new camera in low light to see how it would perform. SLOG 2 and SLOG 3 don't perform well in low light so I decided to give the EOSHD custom picture profile a shot.
Whilst using 240fps slow motion burst mode the audio recording is disable so the sound effects had to be created to enhance the motion.
Not my usual subject matter, but the idea was to challenge my self in order to get to grips with the Sony fs5. Nothing is more challenging than animals that do what they like when they like. But even though it took patience to get these shots I did end up making a lot of new friends.
Special Thanks to the the fantastic team that look after Brockwell Park.
