Brewster Academy Vs. Notre Dame Prep 2010-2011

The boys varsity basketball team improved to 12-0 on the season with a 81-73 victory over #3 nationally ranked Notre Dame Prep (MA) in the finals of the Brewster Invitational. Pitt-bound Durand Johnson (Baltimore, MD) had 17 points, including 3 three-pointers. Kansas signee Naadir Tharpe (Worcester, MA) added 13 points, while St. John's bound Jakarr Sampson (Barberton, OH) and future Villanova Wildcat Markus Kennedy (Yeadon, PA) each contributed 12 points. Unsigned guards Elijah Carter (Paterson, NJ) and Khalid McCaskill (Harlem, NY) played outstanding games during a foul-plagued contest for the Bobcats. Mitch McGary (Chesterton, IN) had an excellent game defensively, including a huge blocked shot late in the contest with the Bobcats clinging to a 4 point lead.
