BRAZIL CRAZY CARNAVAL STREET PARTY Every year at Brazil's carnaval, blocos - which are pretty much like samba bands - parade through cities followed by hundreds of revellers. It's a really good fun event. In some cities, like Rio de Janeiro, Carnaval has several hundred of these street bloco parades and they are usually the main event of carnaval. The parade is held in a sambodromo called Sambão do Povo, and several samba schols from the city of Vitoria and surrounding cities, like Vila Velha, Cariacica and Serra participate.
