Brazil: Anti-government protesters chant "There will be no World Cup!"

Hundreds of civilians marched the streets of Rio de Janeiro on Thursday to protest what they call the government's negligence of the public sphere and in turn, its' investment into the World Cup. Many chanted that there will be no world cup while others burned football jerseys belonging to the Brazilian team. The FIFA World Cup 2014 is due to take place in Brazil from June 12 to July 13.
