The January 1, 2014, implementation of the Boy Scouts of America's decision to allow openly gay boys (up to age 17 years and 364 days) to participate as full members of the BSA, brought to mind my own time in the Boy Scouts as a member of Troop 72 in Butler, Wisconsin.
Troop 72 was sponsored by St. Agnes Catholic Parish. It spent its summer camp at Camp Long Lake in the Kettle Moraine State Forest (Sheboygan County).
This silent home movie was taken during Troop 72's week-long summer camp in July 1971.
