Traditional Bowhunting with my Blacktail Sitka recurve 41@27 56" . Action start´s at 2:50 I have discovered droppings, scrapes and several deer trails in this forrest. On an early November morning, when the wind was right for the ambush, I was ready in my climber. There may be several reasons why an arrow does not penetrate all the way through the deer. Some of the reasons may be that the deer responds to the shot and thus strain the muscle to get ready to get away, which I think is one of the reasons in this case. This deer was raising the shoulderblades and hereby lowering the spine, which resolved that one of the blades was cutting the spine.
