Bow Drill Fire For The First Time Ever And Nailed It (Live Replay)

I have never started a fire with a bow drill before and the other day someone sent me a bow drill kit you can by on amazon. So I thought now is the time ill unbox it in alive stream and head out in to the sun porch and fire it up. I have tried this once before at the alone boot camp but was unsuccessful and never really tried again. I can start a fire with a flint and steal and any number of faro rods or just on match so its about time I lern how do it with a bow drill. Unfortunately i was dropped in a very difficult location with no recourses like i have hear in Maine to build a boat with. I wanted to build a bundle boat from bamboo but the bamboo was solid and sank when thrown in the water. Building a reed boat of the same construction style was out of the question as well since i could find none. My third idea was to build a boat from wood cut or dead falls. I was thinking that it would be a sort of trimaran. But that to failed since the wood there was dense or protected trees we were not aloud to cut down. But now that I'm home i there is an abundance of the common reed what i live here in Maine so its time to make my unfulfilled dream of building a Reed Boat a reality and since the lakes are frozen take it out into the ocean to test its strength. Last time on (87 Days Episode 18) The wattle walls to the winter survival shelter are finely dun and i can start to button it up for winter. I managed to harvest a tone of reeds to isolate the outside walls this week and possibly the roof. But I'm not sure if i want to do a thatched reed roof on the winter survival shelter this year or just the tarp. Im thing since the lakes have not frozen over yet there is still time to make a reed boat with the reeds i have left instead of doing the thatched roof.
